President Message
Dear Nishtarians,
It is an honor and a profound privilege to serve you as President of Nishtar Alumni of North America. Wherever we now live and practice, our journey began in Multan—shaped by the discipline, compassion, and community spirit we learned at Nishtar. That shared heritage binds us together and calls us to lift one another, support our juniors, and give back to the patients and institutions that formed us.
Our Focus for the Year
- Connection & Community – Build a culture where Nishtarians can find mentorship, fellowship, and collaboration—across specialties and across borders—grounded in respect and service.
- Career & Mentorship – Expanding structured guidance for students, graduates, residents, and fellows—especially around electives, research, residency match strategy, and career transitions.
- Care & Impact – Channeling our collective expertise and generosity into transparent, needs-driven initiatives to support patient care, medical education, and capacity building at Nishtar and in underserved communities here at home.

- Pledge an hour each quarter for advisory calls with trainees or new graduates.
- Host a webinar or grand rounds, or share a clinical pearl, pathway, or toolkit.

NANA’s purpose is simple: place people above politics and translate our goodwill into tangible service. Our success will be counted by the lives we uplift—across continents, patients, students, and communities alike. Together, let’s elevate NANA to new heights.
To the many alumni who already give quietly and consistently: THANK YOU! Your example lights the way, and your dedication inspires us all. Let’s move forward as one—united by service, guided by compassion, and committed to Nishtar and our motherland.
In the coming months, look out for new ways to connect, mentor, and serve. Your voice shapes our future—please share your ideas and feedback. This is your alumni family, and together, our impact will reach from Multan to North Americaand beyond.
