Dr Mujtaba completed his internship training at The Brooklyn Hospital Center, NY. He was awarded with ‘Sheba Warman award’ being the best intern of the year. He completed his residency training at the same institution and was chosen the best resident of the graduating class of 2007. He was awarded the chairman’s award and selected as the Chief resident. He received exceptional leadership award in June 2008. He completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology/Hepatology in the Brooklyn Hospital Center, NY an affiliate of Weill Medical College of Cornell University. He has done a special training in Liver transplant field at Columbia University Center and inflammatory bowel disease training at Jill Robert s Center for Inflammatory Bowel disease at Weill Cornell Medical Center. Currently, he is working at Licking Memorial Hospital Center, Newark, Ohio as an Advanced Endoscopist/ Gastroenterologist
Dr Mujtaba is a member of American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, American College of Gastroenterology, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases. He is a member of Hepatitis C task force advisory committee of APPNA, and Author of Hepatitis C guidelines, a brochure distributed in Pakistan.
He is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology and licensed to practice in the state of New York and Ohio.
